Cooking on our wood stove is something that I've been experimenting on for several years. I love the idea of cooking on a heat source other than propane or electricity. I made the chicken broth from bones of 2 roasted chickens that my hubby brought home. The broth has chicken bones with some meat, carrots, celery, onion, a bay leaf and water. It reduces and becomes more concentrated as it cooks. The vegetables are removed when the broth is done (because they will be soggy but don't worry my chickens love them). To make soup add diced chicken, carrots, celery, onion, and garlic until carrots are tender. Then add noodles cook until done. There's nothing better than a hot bowl of homemade soup on a cold winters day. YUM! This post may contain Affiliate Links.
