On my recent shopping I decided to do some price comparison on bell peppers. I started in the produce section looking for fresh peppers. To my surprise the yellow and red peppers were $2.99 each. That is out of my price range for peppers. Luckily the green peppers were only $0.89 each so I did buy one on them. Once in the frozen food section I looked for the bagged vegetable section, much to my surprise the store brand sliced peppers were on sale for $1.79 for a 14 oz. bag. According to the back of the bag there are about five 3/4 cup servings of yellow, red & green peppers in the bag. For this time of year the frozen peppers are the better choice price wise. In the warmer part of the year your best choice would be to grow your own if possible and freeze some for the colder weather. I use frozen bell peppers for omelets, fajitas, Swiss steak and much more. Frozen won this time but the choice is up to you and your personal preference. Saving money is great!!
